hoo-ah soldier!

as the only non-chinese person in oneso6a, i guess its up to me to revive this blog. i'm sure you're all busy with spring cleaning and respecting your elders...or some stuff. haha..so what's there to talk to about? you guessed it, army! lol but i'll try to vary the subject matter a little, even i get a bit sian of just repeating the same old stuff.

so i guess i should just start by describing my situation in the army right now. I'm in pegasus company. for those of you that don't know, BMTC is split into 2 schools , each with about, 5 companies? i think there are 9 altogether. each company has about 200 people, or 4 platoons. each platoon has 4 sections, which have about 12 people each. these 12 people become your bunk buddies, i.e. you sleep in the same bunk. so anyway pegasus is a pretty cool company. we're the only company with girls! there's 3 of them and they get a whole floor to themselves. as for our commanders, they're pretty easy-going too. we never get pumped too badly, even when some of us do incredibly stupid things like when the section 4 guys were supposed to fall in at 7pm for night briefing, and we found they were at the E-mart! which is across the school. basically at the ferry. retards hahhaa...they all did 160 push ups.

the problem with army is the responsibility. its quite a burden having to take care of a rifle, and your ammunition, your bayonet, your helmet, because if you lose anything, you're screwed! as for the danger element, i think the worst thing ill experience is hand grenade throwing. i'm pretty sure if you follow all the procedures, you'll be safe. of course, i'll be grateful when that grenade goes over the wall and i don't need to handle those crazy little things anymore.

oh and i'm going in 24 hours earlier this holiday break, got guard duty. i made some mistakes in field camp, and they told me right then and there i was getting confined (which got turned into guard duty). i remember i was just so shocked. it really sucks to get punishment. i really felt like crying , because the thing about army is, when bad stuff happens, you don't get a chance to curl up in your bed and sleep off the pain, or talk to anyone really. you're stuck there, and you just have to endure till its over. in my case i screwed up on day 1, so i had 5 days ahead of me to reflect on my stupidity. by the end of day 2, though, i felt okay, because i guess we all know how to to suck it up and carry on when we have to.

i can’t really say I miss life before army a whole lot. Besides the burden of responsibility, I really enjoy army life because of the many great friends I’ve made here. I like that I don’t have to think about a level results all day. I realize also that army has made me appreciate my loved ones so much more, and book out days are so sweet, and I really enjoy life to the fullest these days. I like that my tummy’s gone too.

anyway 6a, class outing? i book in monday night.
