Analyse this

Level 1:
If an opportunity in private equity came up and you are offered the chance to take half a semester year off to intern at the Asian arm of a global PE firm. Doing so, however, will mean you are unable to make the deadline for requried modules for your second degree. Do you:

a) Take a semester off and drop your second degree?

b) Or stick to studies since you have the rest of your life to work anyway?

Level 2:
Suppose further that you had elected to do a second degree only because it gives you the additional career path of lecturing. However, the school has told you that you are not allowed to do a senior thesis in your final year because you'll be away for the first half of the year on an exchnage and you have missed the deadline for an exchange in your penultimate year. A senior thesis is not compulsory, but it is part of the honours programme that will help pave the way for further studies. Do you:

a) opt out of the programme if you are unable to do a senior thesis because of an impending exchange?

b) opt out of the exchange just to do a senior thesis?

c) opt out of the programme to do an internship?
