hongkong!
As you all probably know it by now, we are back from hongkong!! It had been an exciting yet exhuasting trip. We may not have eaten a lot, but we certainly have shopped till we dropped (:
Personally, I think jetstar is quite an okay airline if you are just taking short trips and well, you yourself arent too tall. There isnt much leg room, but more than enough for a 1.58m girl/boy. haha. Food's quite good on board, but would be even better if it was free.
We went to a few places-mongkok, ocean park, tsim sa tsui, central and the peak. Our hotel is located in mongkok, which is in kowloon (if you dont know), very near to women street where we did most of our bag shopping on the 1st day.
We visited Ocean Park on the 2nd day. I never knew that Ocean Park was that huge! There were many rides, but unfortunately i think we only took like 4 of them coz it was just way too hot to move around. There's this ride that's called space wheel (??). Basically it sits two in each carriage and then spins you in circles (think centripetal force). Being the nice girl that i am, i volunteered to sit with Jilyn and endured her screams throughout, i repeat throughout, the whole 1 minute or so ride. It was quite funny actually, her screaming was almost continuous, just occasionally punctuated by her breath intake. LOL oh, we also went into the aquariums (air con!) where we saw pretty interesting specimens of jellyfish.
Highlights on the 3rd day would be Madame Tussauds Wax Museum and the Peak. The wax figurines look so darn real! Took a lot of photos (: oh, but jay chou was fugly. They made a replica of him when he was just new in the industry..i.e. the fugly hair. Quite disappointing.
OMG, i really really love the night view of hongkong at the peak. So pretty! Okay, you guys probably cant see that clearly from the pictures, guess you would have to be there to experience it!
The last few days were just shopping at tsim sa tsui and mongkok. i'm a lil too tired to blog abt that. maybe someone else continue? Bin? Jilyn?? or cass??
