I was pretty disappointed recently when someone from my unit offered to take a bag of shredded paper (about 10 kg of it) to a recycling bin and was not allowed due to security reasons. In fact, i think this is the case for companies and THIS IS VERY SAD...

MYTH ABOUT THE CORIOLIS EFFECT

In addition, I also learnt a new thing, the idea that water drains in different directions in the North and South hemisphere due to the Coriolis Effect is a myth!!!

Since the draining time is negligible w.r.t. to Earth's rotation, it is very much more likely that the
design of the sink/bathtub affects the way the water drains. However, this effect applies when it comes to typhoons and tornadoes.
